eDiscovery Startup Experiences Growth, Expertly Meets Demands of Niche Construction, Energy Industries

DALLAS, TX (May 30, 2024) – While most eDiscovery firms build a reputation around being a jack of all trades, Dallas-based startup Discovery Experts has found success in providing concierge-level service and custom technology to the construction and energy industries, specifically. While the firm meets eDisccovery needs across many industries, it is consistent with its narrow focus and has recently added to its roster of niche experts and named two new vice presidents.

Joining the Discovery Experts team is Stacey Grant from Columbia, TN. Additionally, Dallas-based Kat Meyer will be Vice President of Consulting. Alan Butler, based in Columbia, SC, will be Vice President of Project Management.

“We’re thrilled our niche model is experiencing great success, and we’re excited to expand our team of experts across the nation to better serve our construction and energy clients. Our professionals aren’t just eDiscovery experts, they’re also experts in construction and energy, meaning they know all the nuances that come with the field. That’s where we make the difference, saving our clients extraordinary time, money, and effort,” said Discovery Experts Founder and CEO Brett Lamb.

The firm provides eDiscovery consulting expertise and efficiency for legal counsel in the construction and energy industry as well as best-in-class legal technology custom built for clients. It owns the eDiscovery process for clients in these industries and saves them hundreds of thousands of dollars throughout the litigation process.

Stacey Grant

With over a decade of experience as a Senior Data Analyst specializing in processing data operations, Stacey brings expertise and innovation to every project. Her career is marked by a passion for developing intricate processes and clear strategies, making her a leader in the field of data analysis and eDiscovery.

She joins Discovery Experts following 11 years at Consilio, where she played a pivotal role managing complex projects, identifying risks, and implementing effective contingency plans. She prides herself on her meticulous project planning and execution, always ensuring strict compliance with ESI protocol requirements.

In her new role as Project Manager with Discovery Experts, Stacey utilizes her extensive experience in data analysis and project management to eliminate eDiscovery headaches for clients. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family or running around with her pups, Harley and Bruce.

Kat Meyer

Kat arrived at Discovery Experts after departing Conquest Ediscovery as President, where she managed all operational aspects of the company, conducted CLE trainings and consulted with clients on eDiscovery strategy, plans, information governance, collections, and more.

Starting with the construction-focused side of Discovery Experts since its inception, she joins the executive team in directing the firm towards continued success and leads the consulting group to achieve concierge service for all clients. Kat continually works towards proactive approaches to minimize discovery costs. In addition, she provides guidance throughout the discovery process to assist with discovery negotiations and protocols, custodian interviews and collections, and corporate training programs.

Alan Butler

Alan came from Deloitte and began his time with Discovery Experts as a Project Manager in 2021. From the very beginning, Alan demonstrated next-level leadership qualities while determining efficient data solutions for clients facing complex construction litigation. Leveraging his decade of experience in the eDiscovery industry, he is also instrumental in testing and developing innovative workflows to reduce clients’ costs while honing in on critical documents for outside counsel.
